Labor Day Look

Labor Day Look

Where has the summer gone?  It seems like yesterday that Hilary and I were packing away our sweaters and boots and breaking out our favorite summer looks.  I started this summer with grand plans to break out of my habit of cut offs and a the same dresses.  Now we're up against Labor Day Weekend and I'm stuck in my rut of cut offs and the same two dresses.

I've been a fashion-blogger connoisseur longer than I've been blogging myself, and I've noted that Labor Day weekend is the cut off for summer outfits.  Post Labor Day, every fashion blogger is sporting denim, booties, and chunky knit cardigans (with a pumpkin spice latte in hand of course!).  I'd like to say that Hilary and I will be different, but we live in Munich and Coeur d'Alene respectively, where cooler weather hits in early September.

Heading up and out of summer

If it were up to me summer would last forever.  I'd rid my closet of claustrophobic sweaters and jeans and live in nothing but dresses and sandals.  Instead I will enjoy the remaining days of good weather and sport every summer dress I can before it's time to pack them away.

I'll be rocking this Who What Wear dress that I bought over Memorial Day Weekend at Target.  I love the asymetrical hem, a twist, on the class button up shirt dress.  The earrings are from Target's Sugarfix line which is a collaboration with the fun BaubleBar brand.  Baublebar and Sugarfix are two of the only places I buy trendy jewelry; they're fun, bold, and affordable.  These Leatheropolis sandals were the buy of the summer.  I purchased them after seeing them on another fashion blog: Chloe Loves to Shop.

I'm sad to see summer go, but I'm going to send her off in style.  You can find me getting the most out of my warm weather pieces.
