A Happy Coincidence

As many of you know, Claire and I do not live close to one another. In fact, we live on different continents. We enjoy our visits together and going shopping. We’ve curated different styles for ourselves, however, occassionally, we end up sporting the same outfit out of pure coincidence; a happy coincidence. Last month was no exception.

We had both recently added a black down jacket to our wardrobe for winter weather. Claire’s is from the brand Under Armour while mine is from the Japanese company Uniqlo. I had personally never heard of Uniqlo till a few months ago, but am grateful I did. This jacket is incredibly warm considering how thin it is! Now, a black winter jacket isn’t the biggest coincidence, but how we styled it was. We paired it with gray demin and heeled booties.

I normally pair my outfit with chelsea boots while in Munich, as they’re more comfortable for all the walking I do here. However, when back home, I take advantage of how much driving we do and wear shoes I might not otherwise have the chance to. As a result, these brown boots from Top Shop have lasted me a few years.

Claire sported leopard print boots, adding a personal flair to her outfit. The great thing about this outfit is how it can be pulled together quite quickly. Since the jackets are not bulky, they can be left on when running errands. It’s fun when we end up coincidentally matching, especially as these aren’t coordinated efforts, but rather a reflection of how we are on the same fashion wavelength. On a side note, if you find yourself in need of a winter coat like the ones we’re sporting, now is the time to buy as both brands are currently having winter sales, score!
