Lazy Days
Last weekend was the first weekend in about eight weeks that I didn't have anything going on. I was traveling, hosting company, or at a conference...it was great! Unlike the majority of fashion bloggers out there, I cannot travel/host/work and post consistently. It's probably my biggest shortcoming as a blogger, but forgive me, I prefer to enjoy the moment then snap a bunch of photos and update social media.
I made a promise to myself that my first free weekend I would binge watch Netflix, clean out my closet, and not get dressed, ha! I would up going on a date with Brian, meeting up with a friend to try out a new restaurant, brunch with another friend, followed by a trip in Spokane to see the Titanic exhibit at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture. I was exhausted by Sunday night and my closet is still a mess.
However, the weather was finally warm and sunny so I didn't mind ditching my sweats for a dress and my trusted Adidas sneakers. I bought this black WhoWhatWear dress two years ago and have worn weekly during warm weather seasons ever since. It's light weight, comfortable, and can be dressed up with sandals and some accessories, or dressed down for a day out.
These Adidas sneakers are still a surprise to me. This style was popular when I was in middle school, and experience has taught me that most things from middle school are wretched and should be avoided. But when I saw them pop up a couple of years ago I decided to take a chance and try them. They are so comfortable and stylish! I can, and have, put many miles on them sight seeing and I receive compliments whenever I wear them.
As this week comes to a close, I'm excited to have another weekend at home, and I've told myself this weekend will be different, I will clean out my closet and lounge around, but once again the weather calls for sunny skies, and there are BBQs and brunches to attend. One day my closet will be clean. One day.
