Micro-Closet Maternity

Micro-Closet is excited to announce its expecting! For all of you expecting mothers out there, the task of dressing comfortably and appropriately during the summer months can have its challenges. Whether it's heat, humidity (or a combination of both) or the idea of wearing styles that don't make you feel like a whale on land, shopping and styling maternity wear is no small task. That's why I've laid out for you readers (both expecting and not) my two favorite styles of dresses I've come across while shopping for maternity clothing this summer.
The first type of dress is the classic empire waist style. This would be one of the more typical trends for expecting mothers, coming in a variety of fabrics and colors. My personal favorite so far has been a purchase from H&M's "Mama" line.
This denim dress with a tie waist allows for flexibility as I continue to grow, and don't let the denim fabric fool you, it's positively light and perfect for hot, humid days in Munich and an added bonus: it's work appropriate.
The second type of dress that is both common in most stores' maternity lines and another favorite of mine is the bodycon dress. Also purchased from H&M, this black and white striped dress pairs well with a denim jacket or brightly colored cardigan. Its added bonus: complete comfort! It's the perfect dress for spending those warm summer afternoons in one of Munich's many beer gardens (enjoying an alcohol free beverage of course!)
This dress can be tailored for a sportier look by pairing with pink sneakers.
At 24 weeks and counting, it's important for me to invest in styles that can grow with me in the upcoming 16 weeks. Both styles fit this bill, and H&M's reasonable pricing means I can put more money towards my new favorite type of shopping in the baby department.
