Wedding Guest Fashion

As the warmer months are upon us, so are the invitations for weddings. Dressing for a wedding might already seem like a challenge for some, but add 6 months pregnant to the mix and you've got yourself a real task at hand.
This past weekend found Matthias and myself in the beautiful German region of Allgäu for a wedding. The weather was predicted to be raining and cooler (naturally since we were in the Alps). The venue would be partially outside, proving to be the first hurdle to overcome: finding a suitable maternity dress for a wedding that wouldn't leave me too hot or cold with the varying weather forecasts. I was lucky enough this past month to travel back to the States and to be showered with beautiful maternity clothing purchased by my mom and Claire. Luckily, one of these gifts worked perfectly for the wedding. I settled on a navy and cream colored Tacera dress given to me by Claire. The dress fit the bill due to its sleeve length (3/4) and the light fabric with a built-in lining.
Enjoying the sun and view.
The tie waist and light fabric made this dress an absolute perfect fit for a summer wedding. The busier pattern meant keeping accessories to a minimum. I settled for a simple pearl necklace.
The weather ended up being much warmer and drier than expected, much to everyone's delight. By packing a dress that was functional in both warm and cooler temperatures, I was prepared for the change in weather.
Warm enough for Matthias to enjoy a frosty beverage (or two.)
This dress was purchased at the consignment store Hansel and Gretel in Moscow, ID. If you are pregnant and in need of maternity clothing, enough cannot be said about consignment stores. Often, stores that carry maternity clothing, such as Hansel and Gretel, also carry adorable baby clothes as well (one stop shopping!)
