Autumn Fashion Trends

My pregnancy has led to me partaking in a new found hobby to enjoy fashion while not exactly being able to fit into the newest trends, that hobby of course being window shopping. A recent trip to buy less than glamorous nursing clothes gave me the opportunity to enjoy the newest autumn fashion trends.
One aspect that cannot be denied: dark red is definitely "in." The window display above was at Hallhuber, a good-quality German clothing store. The dark roses provided the perfect backdrop to this season's fashion trends. Dark red paired with floral patterns provide a feminine touch to a season that can often be plagued with brown, orange and black fashion.
My personal favorite from Hallhuber's window display is the outfit above. They paired a black leather skirt with a dark red blouse with a ruffled arm detail. The lines are sleek and the style is simple yet makes a statement. The benefit of forgoing items without a print is that there is a higher likelihood that you can pair them with more items already in your closet, maximizing your investment in seasonal trends.
A very similar color palette was also seen across the street from Hallhuber in Zara, as seen in the picture above. Here, one more trend was added to the seasons "must-haves." This would be the element of velvet. The dress on the left combines velvet with the dark reds in addition to a floral print. I'm currently undecided on velvet, but if I choose to purchase clothing with this material, I will not have a shortage of options. The blouse on the right forgoes the velvet for a silk-type material, one of my personal favorites.
