Denim Roundup

A couple of weeks ago I reviewed a new pair of Frame denim that I bought, and Hilary and I thought it would be appropriate to share with our readers our favorite denim brands and why we wear them.
Claire’s favorite brands:
KUT from the Kloth – KUT offers comfortable, mid to high-rise denim in trendy cuts for a fraction of the price of other brands. When I became obsessed with distressed, raw hem denim last fall I turned to KUT for my first pair.
J. Crew – Last summer I was on vacation and found a pair of mid-rise ankle jeans on clearance at J. Crew Factory for $25. Theirs is good, soft, mid-weight denim. If you have a shorter inseam like Hilary and I do, their ankle jeans will not disappoint.
Madewell – Madewell is a J. Crew offshoot and makes killer denim pieces. I’m a big fan of their high-rise collection. Their denim is bi-stretch which is great for those who have narrow waists and wider hips and thighs because they are super flattering and don’t leave gap at the waist.

Hilary’s favorite denim brands:
J Brand – When Hilary invests in a pair of denim she goes for J Brand, which she says is worth the investment. J Brand offers a variety of styles; her personal favorite is their "Photo Finish" line. It offers ankle length cuts, which are great for those of you with shorter inseams.
7s for All Mankind – Hilary looks great in a pair of 7s (unlike me) and invests in them from time to time. She likes their cuts because they flatter those who carry their weight in their hips.
Joe’s – Hilary and I both love Joe's and have purchased the same pair. They are the least expensive of Hilary’s brands, and we find them on deep discount at stores like Nordstrom Rack.
