Sweater Style

For many of us, we live in climates with four defined seasons (with summer always being the shortest, or at least feeling that way.). One challenge I always find is dressing for that period between fall and winter, when I need more than a light jacket but not quite my winter one. Same can be said for that period of time between winter and spring. Enter one of my closet staples, the sweater jacket.
Firstly, don't let these photos fool you, this is not Munich in mid-November but rather mid-October, October 14th to be precise, my due date. Needless to say the arrival of our little one has delayed this post. The cooling temperatures near the end of my pregnancy led to the heavy use of this favorite piece of mine.
If you're not pregnant, don't think this post doesn't apply to you. This is not maternity wear, one of the perks about such a style, it can be worn by any size (including 40 weeks pregnant.). This particular sweater is a mixture of grays, adding texture to the overall look. I like to view gray as an extension of black; it can be paired with many colors. Since the sweater has a textured appearance, I do like to pair it with solids.
Lastly, such a piece can be dressed up or down, the latter being my general style at the end of my pregnancy. Whether your style is more formal or casual, this piece can tie together an outfit for a polished style.
